A commission for the artist Javier Viver. At Alegra school there is a very special project for all of us who are part of the school. It is the project to build a chapel for the Virgin Mary on the Alegra campus. The chapel will have a tabernacle and a carving of the Virgin.
For a long time we have had the desire that this carving of the Virgin be unique: "Our Lady of Alegra".
Nuestra Señora de Alegra as a consequence of the school's educational project. The concept of beauty, and specifically the beauty of women, is essential. Therefore, in Mary we have the best model. She, the Woman par excellence, will be the main reference and guide of femininity, service and joy, openness to God in the life of the students and in each family.
The carving of Our Lady of Alegra will be made by the artist Javier Viver. It will be a unique carving, designed for Alegra.
Donation campaign
The 18-month donation campaign has already begun so that students, parents, families, friends and all the people who are part of Alegra, have the opportunity to participate, contribute and help in such a special project.
The goal to build the wayside shrine and make the carving of the Virgin for the school is 40 thousand euros. The time limit to collect the funds is 18 months.

The sculptor Javier Viver has received other commissions from other religious communities.
It is well known the virgin called Bella Pastora, commissioned by the Iesu Comunio Women's Institute. A beautiful virgin that later has been the inspiration to make it in a smaller and more familiar edition so that everyone in our house can have it. This is the case of Santa Maria de la Paz.
