Description
El faro / The Lighthouse is a publication by Eduardo Delgado Orusco and Javier Viver, edited by RU books, which documents and analyzes a temporary Eucharistic chapel designed for the Family Festival at the request of the Archbishopric of Madrid. The project is at the center of the debate between contemporary sacred art and liturgical rigor, approached from a contemporary perspective without complexes.
The installation stems from a dialogue between pastoral needs and contemporary artistic and conceptual trends. Delgado and Viver propose a work that draws on traditional models of worship spaces, but reinterprets them through the use of new technologies, infusing the altarpiece and the entire space with movement and life. In this way, the project presents itself as an active reflection on the renewal of sacred art in the current context.
In addition, El faro incorporates a conscious reading of liturgical reform and new ecclesiastical guidelines. The result is a work that not only dialogues with tradition, but also responds to the symbolic and spatial demands of the present.
The book is part of the THESAURO collection, which aims to showcase significant examples where high-quality contemporary art and liturgical coherence converge. Through careful graphic documentation and critical texts by the authors and other specialists, the publication seeks to provide new insights for dialogue between artists, architects, and ecclesiastical patrons.
