Description
Artist: Javier Viver
The original sculpture was commissioned by the contemporary sculptor Javier Viver. The Church of San Juan de Avila requested a life-size piece of a Virgin for their church. Javier imagined a pregnant Virgin, seated and in a deep attitude of prayer.
Santa Maria de la Paz
Santa María de la Paz was also a commission for Javier Viver. As in his first work, the inspiration came from the Church of San Juan de Avila. The sculptor again projected a pregnant and praying Marian image, full of serenity and spirituality.
A work full of tenderness and spirituality
Inspired by this mission, Javier created a sculpture that transmits tenderness and faith. The result captivated those who contemplated it. He also decided to produce a smaller version, ideal for homes and prayer spaces.
This seated and pregnant Madonna, available in four colors, measures 32 cm. Because of its size, it fits easily in any corner you want to fill with peace and recollection.
The WILL Foundation: art that transforms lives
The WILL Foundation, based in Shanghai, aims to give hope to children in vulnerable situations. Under the leadership of Pilar Tan, the foundation offers shelter, education and the opportunity to discover and develop their talents.
Every child is a world full of possibilities. That is why the foundation works so that they can shine with their own light.
Art and solidarity: a special alliance
Javier Viver, a close friend of Pilar's, witnessed the positive impact of the foundation. Moved by the desire to help, he collaborated in a solidarity project: a limited edition of the sculpture Santa María de la Paz.
In addition to expressing devotion and artistic beauty, this work symbolizes commitment and solidarity. Through a crowdfunding campaign, they seek to sell 400 sculptures and raise awareness in the community about the importance of supporting causes like this.
All proceeds will go to the WILL Foundation. In this way, more children will receive opportunities, education and hope. This alliance between sacred art and philanthropy demonstrates that, with passion and commitment, it is possible to transform lives.
