Description
The sculpture of Our Lady of Alegra arises from the desire of the Alegra school to build a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary. This space, located on the school campus, will house a tabernacle and a Marian image designed exclusively for this educational community.
The work reflects the feminine ideal that inspires the school's formative project. Mary is the model of femininity, service, joy and openness to God. Therefore, this image seeks to be a spiritual and human reference for the students, their families and all those who are part of Alegra.
The artist Javier Viver designed this sculpture as an original and meaningful piece. Its serene forms and maternal expression convey beauty and closeness. In addition, the work is available in various formats, which allows bringing this devotion to different spaces.
These versions make it possible to bring Our Lady of Joy into the home, a classroom or a chapel. Each format preserves the original spirit of the sculpture: a daily invitation to look to Mary as model and guide.

This is, most probably, my favorite image of Javier Viver. It reveals in an expressive way how great is the beauty of the praying woman, who receives with joy and gratitude what comes from God.

She seems to me to be a simple and natural Madonna. A close mother

This little virgin is not only beautiful, but also very realistic. Her features, the tousled braid and her dress fascinate me.

It is a beautiful Madonna that transmits peace. It was given to me for my birthday and I cried with emotion. I am very happy and the Lady is beautiful.
