I have made this relief of St. Joseph with Baby Jesus in honor of the saint and on the occasion of the year of St. Joseph that the Pope has called and that is about to end. St. Joseph is very important to me, I entrust myself to him a lot and he serves me as an example. I work with my hands and I have a workshop, just like him. I like to have him as a model and try to imitate him in the way of working, of valuing silence and above all of being close to Jesus and Mary.

This piece is an attempt to honor him, to spread his person and to thank him. I imagine St. Joseph as a young man with an enormous illusion of being the father of Jesus, that's why I have represented him with the baby Jesus in his arms and laughing, happy to be with each other. I always try to represent the saints in natural attitudes, after all, it is nothing more than an everyday scene of a father full of tenderness with his son in his arms. Nothing simpler and nothing greater at the same time.
