Description
This sculpture depicts the Virgin Mary as part of our series of sculptures of the Holy Family, created by the artist Javier Viver—a collection that captures the quiet beauty of the home in Nazareth.
In this piece, Mary appears in a contemplative pose, radiating a delicate presence, but it is her gaze that reveals the heart of the work: a gaze directed at Saint Joseph, filled with tenderness, trust, and deep admiration. It is not a passive gaze, but a lively and conscious one; she recognizes in him the man who sustains, protects, and accompanies the mystery they both guard.
This silent bond between Mary and Joseph speaks of a mature love, built on respect, devotion, and communion. Mary not only contemplates, but also affirms Joseph’s vocation with her gaze, creating between them a bond that provides foundation and stability to the home. Placed next to the figure of Saint Joseph, this sculpture reveals its full expressive power, generating an intimate dialogue that transforms the space into a place of presence and meaning. On its own, it is also an invitation to rediscover the beauty of trust, mutual admiration, and tenderness in human relationships.
