How to pray the ROSARY

The HOLY ROSARY is one of the most important prayers of the Church, a simple and profound way to pray while meditating on the life of Jesus Christ together with our Mother, the Virgin Mary. Through prayers such as the Our Father, the Hail Mary, and the Glory Be, your heart becomes calm and you speak with Mary, asking for her intercession.

Praying the Rosary consists of going through a series of mysteries (joyful, luminous, sorrowful, and glorious), contemplating each one as you move forward with the beads. It is a prayer that can be said alone, with family, or in community, and is especially recommended for asking for help in times of difficulty, giving thanks, and praying for others.

Prayer of the Holy Rosary


In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

The Creed is recited, professing faith and embracing faith in communion.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried,
descended into hell,
on the third day rose again from the dead,
ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God,
the Almighty Father.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
